Psychologists assess diverse psychiatric problems (e.g., anxiety, substance abuse) and non-psychiatric concerns (e.g., intelligence, career interests) in a range of settings, including private practice. Assessment data may be gathered through several means, including interviews, standardized tests, self-report measures, and more.
